Job description

Talascend is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a contract opportunity located in Phoenix, AZ.
This role will manage daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, distribution, and warehousing. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, efficient shipment scheduling, and cost-effective logistics operations in compliance with Department of Defense guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, and distribution.
• Organize and manage warehousing processes for incoming and outgoing goods.
• Review and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accurate product adjustments.
• Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments based on organizational and customer needs.
• Serve as the liaison between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods by identifying, investigating, and resolving shipment delays and detention issues.
• Assist in controlling logistics costs by consolidating loads and selecting the most cost-efficient shipment methods within DoD requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Stand-up forklift experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of logistics or related experience.
• 3–5 years of career-level support experience preferred.
