Job summary

KeHE Distributors, LLC is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Naperville, IL. You will maintain carrier communications, track shipments, and coordinate loading, scheduling, and delivery to ensure smooth operations.

You will also support customer relationships and uphold KeHE’s mission and values. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail, with experience in logistics coordination and proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of logistics coordination or similar experience.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and logistics software.
• Willingness to work after hours/weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains effective communication with carriers to ensure load requirements are understood.
• Tracks and traces truck loads and provides updates with PO numbers.
• Enters status updates into the system accurately and timely.
• Schedules truckload appointments for efficient delivery/pickup.
• Identifies appropriate carriers and ensures load requirements meet standards.
• Builds positive relationships with carriers and monitors performance.
• Coordinates between operations teams and escalates concerns as needed.
• Compiles truck load activity lists and shares with teams for continuity.
• Tracks damages, shortages, and overages and communicates resolutions.
• Ensures accurate input of carrier information into the company system.
• Assists onboarding of new carriers and ensures compliance standards.
• Handles order entry of truck loads and maintains records.
• Prepares and distributes weekly pickup reports for loads.
• Coordinates with carriers, suppliers and internal teams for smooth transport.
• Generates reports (truck load, grouping) for tracking and documentation.
• Tracks carrier performance and addresses issues promptly.
• Other duties as assigned; may answer calls after hours or weekends.
