Job summary

Teknor Apex in Rhode Island is hiring for a Shipping Dock Associate to unload and stage shipments, process returns, and handle UPS orders. This full-time on-site role supports the Shipping Area under the Logistics Manager.

The position requires the ability to read and understand English, basic math, and the capacity to operate a forklift or learn, along with good verbal and written communication. Shift is 2nd, 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand English clearly.
• Good math skills for daily tasks and inventory checks.
• Able to operate (or learn to operate) a forklift and use an electric hand truck.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload elevators.
• Stage truck shipments in the Shipping Area.
• Process customer returns.
• Process UPS orders through the UPS system.
• Load Teknor or outside trucks for shipment, ensuring stretch wrap when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe shipping dock and check forklift daily before operation.
• Experience with Teknor Apex computer systems preferred.

Job Requirements:

• Unloads elevators.
• Stage truck shipments in the Shipping Area.
• Process customer returns.
• Process UPS orders through the UPS system.
• Load all Teknor or outside trucks for shipment of designated orders, ensuring that stretch wrapping is provided when needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area on the shipping dock. Check forklift daily prior to operating.
• Experience with Teknor Apex computer systems preferred.

• Able to drive (or learn to drive) a forklift and to use an electric hand truck.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
