Job summary

Teknor Apex in Rhode Island is seeking a reliable Shipping Dock Associate to join our logistics team. This full-time role supports inbound/outbound shipments, returns processing, and order fulfillment for our customers. Shift: 1st shift 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM.

You will unload elevators, stage truck shipments, load trucks, maintain a clean, safe dock, and perform forklift checks daily. Experience with Teknor Apex computer systems is preferred; strong math and written/verbal English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Possess good math skills.
• Able to drive (or learn to drive) a forklift and to use an electric hand truck.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Unloads elevators.
• Stage truck shipments in the Shipping Area.
• Process customer returns.
• Process UPS orders through the UPS system.
• Load all Teknor or outside trucks for shipment of designated orders, ensuring that stretch wrapping is provided when needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area on the shipping dock. Check forklift daily prior to operating.
• Experience with Teknor Apex computer systems preferred.
