Job summary

Smith+Naphew is seeking a Logistics Associate to impact material flow and product availability. The role covers shipping/outbound distribution, receiving, storing, handling, and issuing materials including GxP raw materials, MRO supplies, WIP, and Finished Goods Inventory, with emphasis on accuracy and timely processing.

You will work with ERP systems, carrier partners, and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient logistics operations while supporting people who rely on

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with shipping processes and carrier systems.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with FEDEX and UPS shipping systems.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials per SOPs.
  • Stage incoming raw materials for processing.
  • Receive GxP raw material into inventory/ERP.
  • Relocate staged and quarantined materials as directed.
  • Perform physical inventories and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

The Logistics Associate is responsible for shipping/outbound distribution, receiving, storing, handling and or issuing all materials including but not limited to cGMP raw materials, NON-cGMP raw materials, Common Supply, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies, Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI).

What will you be doing?
  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials under the guidance and direction of departmental SOP's/specifications.
  • Stage incoming raw materials for further processing.
  • Receive GxP raw material into inventory/ERP system.
  • Relocate staged and quarantined materials to appropriate areas, as directed
  • Perform and assist in performing physical inventories as required.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing adjustments to documents and ERP.
  • Perform housekeeping as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What will you need to be successful?

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience/expectations: Below

Working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook

Working knowledge of FEDEX, UPS and other online systems used in shipping processes.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Effective verbal and written communication skills to initiate and retrieve tracking information from carrier.

High energy.

Manual dexterity

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $20.19 - $30.28 USD hourly.
