Job summary

LHH in Syosset, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support order processing, shipment coordination, and supply chain operations. You will manage domestic and international shipments, maintain ERP records, and ensure timely delivery with strong Excel analysis.

The ideal candidate has hands-on order entry experience, ERP proficiency, and excellent organizational and communication skills for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, order processing, shipping coordination, and supply chain support.
• Strong order entry experience and proficiency with ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze logistics and order data, generate reports, and use Excel for trend analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage the logistics and fulfillment of domestic and international shipments
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation or delivery issues
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
• Track orders from receipt to delivery and provide status updates
• Maintain accurate records within the ERP system
• Analyze logistics data in Excel to identify trends and opportunities
• Generate reports on inventory, shipments, and transportation activity
• Assist with inventory coordination and supply chain administration
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international shipping requirements

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Work Setting: Full-Time, Onsite

Salary: $70-75K annually; based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Assistant to support order processing, shipment coordination, and supply chain operations. This role will be responsible for managing domestic and international shipments, maintaining accurate order information within an ERP system, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with order entry, and advanced Excel capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and enter customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage the logistics and fulfillment of domestic and international shipments
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation or delivery issues
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, invoices, packing lists, and customs-related paperwork
• Track orders from receipt through delivery and provide status updates to customers and internal teams
• Maintain accurate records within the ERP system
• Analyze logistics and order data using Excel to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
• Generate reports related to inventory, shipments, order fulfillment, and transportation activity
• Assist with inventory coordination and supply chain administration as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international shipping requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, customer service, or operations support role
• Strong order entry experience
• Experience working within an ERP system
• Data analysis and reporting
• Experience coordinating both domestic and international shipments
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with freight carriers, customs documentation, and international logistics processes
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain operations
• Experience with transportation management or warehouse management systems
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is a plus
