Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Logistics Analyst to support NAVAIR PMX-201 and related teams at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, CA. The role focuses on maintenance, documentation, and asset preparation in accordance with TMs and SOPs.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing weapons systems, managing inventory, and coordinating material handling and shipment. A SECRET clearance, BS/BA, and defense logistics experience are required or substituted per policy.

Qualifications

• Experience with intermediate or depot level weapons or weapons systems maintenance.
• Ability to read, interpret, and strictly follow technical manuals and SOPs.
• Forklift and crane operation experience; certification preferred or obtainable.
• Strong attention to detail for inspection, documentation, and database record-keeping.
• Preferred: testing and reprogramming of Joint Attack Munitions (JDAM).

Responsibilities

• Intermediate and Depot Level Maintenance. Perform maintenance IAW the most current weapons program TMs and SOPs, including replacing wing slot seals, fairings, piece parts, and non-energetic components. Use Government-furnished materials handling, ordnance handling, support, and test equipment, as well as common hand tools.
• Inspection, Testing, and Condition Analysis. Visually inspect, test, and analyze the condition of weapons, systems, components, and containers. Work with the WSS Maintenance Branch to decide whether assets are repairable or beyond economical repair.
• Container Fabrication and Repair. Fabricate new containers as directed to support weapons transportation, repair existing containers and replace their parts.
• Material Handling, Shipment, and Disposition. Operate a government-furnished forklift and crane inside and around the maintenance facility to safely move non-energetic assets. Test completed assets, assign condition codes, and package and label items for shipment to the Fleet. Return warranty items to the OEM and prepare assets for demilitarization or disposal in accordance with Demilitarization codes.
• Inventory Control and Maintenance Records. Implement and maintain an inventory and parts tracking process. Record complete maintenance data in the WSS database, including asset name, serial number, NSN, repair date, and materials used.

SSI is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support NAVAIR PMX-201, Precision Strike Weapons Program Office, and the Direct Attack Weapons and Guidance Systems Integrated Product team which is responsible for research, development, acquisition and sustainment of the Navy's air-to-ground precision guided weapons, general-purpose bombs, and aircraft armament-related equipment. This position will be located at on base at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, California.

The selected candidate will work with the WSS Maintenance Branch to perform Intermediate and Depot Level maintenance on non-energetic weapons, weapons systems, components, and containers. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, documenting, and preparing assets for return to the Fleet in strict compliance with current Technical Manuals (TMs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Pay Range $27.61 - $38.38

Requirements to be considered for thisposition:

• Must possess and able to maintain a SECRET Clearance.
• BS or BA degree; Working towards Professional Logistics Certification.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUION: An additional one (1) year of experience working in direct support of Defense life-cycle logistics can be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
• 3 to 10 yearsof experience
  • At least one year of experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include logistics principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently with minimal level of direct supervision.
