Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Program Manager responsible for overseeing contractor operations for Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) support of conventional ordnance weapons systems and components of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) to be located near Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA. NAWCWD is a key organization within the Naval Air Systems Command, dedicated to research, development, acquisition, testing, and evaluation of weapons and warfare systems for the U.S. Navy operating primarily in China Lake and Pt. Mugu, CA. China Lake is used primarily for testing guided missiles, advanced weapons, and weapons systems. Pt. Mugu is for electronic warfare expertise, supporting missile, free-fall weapons, and electronic warfare system testing. NAWCWD also emphasizes workforce development, employing thousands of scientists, engineers, and military personnel to maintain cutting-edge capabilities in areas such as hypersonics, directed energy, autonomy, quantum sciences, and cyber defense.
This Key Personnel leader will manage a team of employees providing program management, financial management, administrative support, and information management services in this dynamic, high-tempo operational environment. Responsibilities include supporting LCL tasking to include Product Support Management (PSM); Supply Support; Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T); Maintenance Planning, Management, and Maintenance Support; Design Interface; Sustaining Engineering; Technical Daa and Configuration Control; Computer Resources; Facilities and Infrastructure; Support Equipment (SE); Training and Training Support; and Administration and Project Oversight. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of DoD leadership experience with at least six years in Defense acquisition and three years in support of Navy acquisition management related to weapon systems, hardware and software, configuration control, tetst and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability with a bachelor's degree, demonstrated problem-solving and risk management capabilities, and preferably prior leadership experience with DoD Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) tasking. A SECRET clearance eligibility and IT-II designation are required.
