Seaboard Marine seeks a customer service specialist to guide customers on transportation requirements and handle rate variations by commodity.Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, maintaining accounts, and securing bookings across divisions to ensure smooth cargo movements.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in logistics customer service or related fields, bilingual English/Spanish, and strong MS Office skills. Growth opportunities available within a long-term role with great benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in Customer Service, Traffic or Rates in logistics, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish in a business environment.
• Proficient MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to prepare reports and manage deadlines.
• Strong customer relationship skills and teamwork.
• Willingness to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and offer alternatives.
• Oversee performance of accounts and inform customers about cargo progress.
• Provide high-quality service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Secure bookings and coordinate transportation per customer needs.
• Handle high-volume calls and coordinate delivery appointments.
• Track shipments and generate reports to reduce demurrage charges.
