Job summary

Rivet Operations Company in San Diego, CA seeks Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior Logisticians to join a DoD-focused team. You will support Navy logistics operations, inventory and financial management for ashore and afloat activities, and work with Naval Aviation Detachments.

Qualifications

• Experience in US military logistics operation afloat and ashore (ASD), Logistics Specialist rating.
• 15 years for Senior, 5 years for Mid-level, 3 years for Junior positions.
• Associate degree in logistics or business; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Navy R-Supply, GCPC, OPTAR, and NERP.
• Broad knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook).
• Experience with financial management in the Navy.

Responsibilities

• Provide service in Navy logistics operation, financial management and inventory management.

Overview Job Title: Logistician
Location: San Diego, CA
Introduction: Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has multiple openings for Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior Logisticians to join our rapidly growing team in the San Diego, CA area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.

Duties

• Provide service in connection with Navy logistics operation, financial management and inventory management.
• Provide services in connection with aviation supply/logistic management for ashore activities.
• Provide supply support for assigned organizational Naval Aviation Support Detachments.
• Provide support for maintenance activities requiring direct supply support for maintenance and materials.
• Support change management strategies, functional areas and infrastructure to support demand planning and supply initiatives.
• Perform supply management and product inventory to check for quality and quantity issues; return unacceptable materials to vendors to obtain replacement or refunds; warranty support and extended service plans.
• Provide expertise in inventory management and current stock levels to government teams and customers to facilitate accuracy, availability, and readiness.
• Conduct inventories, validity management and record keeping and parts tracking.
• Provide services in connection with stock control operations, financial management, GCPC policy and procedure.
• Have a working knowledge of CASREP and Naval aviation logistics systems.
• Support Aircraft Material Condition Reports (AMCR) for Fleet Squadrons.
• Improve readiness in support of N41 and all tasks set forth by the Commodore.
• Directly support Supply Officers and Supply Chain of Commands in day-to-day taskings and operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Initiative-taker requiring minimal supervision.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Experience and knowledge in US military logistics operation afloat and ashore (ASD), specifically a Logistics Specialist rating while in the military. 15 years for Senior position, 5 years for Mid-level position, and 3 years for Junior position.
• Associate degree in logistics or a business discipline is required, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with financial management in the Navy.
• Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook) is required.
• Proficiency in Stock Control functions, NERP, ASD operations, NALCOMIS, AIS, NAVSUP One Touch, FIMARS, and NAVAIR processes.
• Experience and knowledge of the Navy Working Capital fund policies and concepts.
• Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program.
• Experience with automated supply/maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes.
• Proficiency with Navy R-Supply system, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, and NERP.

Security Clearance

Position requires applicant to be a US Citizen and able to obtain the required security clearance for the position.

Posted Salary Range
