Job summary

brownandrootexternal is seeking a Logistics Dry Bulk Operator to safely handle, move, and distribute materials within an industrial facility. You will load bulk sacks, trucks, and railcars while supporting production, maintenance and warehouse operations and maintaining inventory accuracy.

The role requires operating material-handling equipment, attention to paperwork accuracy, and adherence to all safety standards. A valid drivers license and forklift experience are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or material handling in an industrial, refinery, petrochemical, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid drivers license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment in a safe manner.
• Pull, package, label, sample product, and prepare materials for work orders, maintenance activities, and outbound shipments.
• Attention to detail: ensure paperwork is filled out properly and errors are avoided.
• Maintain organized warehouse to enable efficient material retrieval.
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities.
• Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect materials and report discrepancies to supervision.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and logistics coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation including receiving reports, inventory logs, transfer records, and shipping paperwork.
• Maintain PPE and follow safety regulations.

Required to load bulk super sacks, trucks, and railcars. This position supports production, maintenance, and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to all company safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment in a safe manner.
• Pull, package, label, sample product, and prepare materials for work orders, maintenance activities, and outbound shipments.
• Attention to detail: making sure paperwork is filled out properly and the ability to recognize errors.
• Maintain organized warehouse to ensure efficient material retrieval.
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities.
• Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect materials and report discrepancies to supervision.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and logistics coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation including receiving reports, inventory logs, transfer records, and shipping paperwork.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in warehouses and loading areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operating procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all company, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control procedures.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to read packing slips, shipping documents, material lists, and inventory records.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work on a rotating 12 hour shift schedule.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
