Job summary

W.C. Bradley Co. is seeking a forklift/operator to ensure safe operation of the Bandit chipper and support equipment in the log yard. You will manage inbound logs and chips, coordinate with the Production Supervisor for upcoming production, and support maintenance on large projects.

Candidate should have 1 year of forklift experience, 1–2 years in heavy equipment, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Some weekend work and physical lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required (minimum 1 year).
• 1-2 years of heavy equipment operation (e.g., front loader).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with inventory and receiving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inventory incoming logs and chips, tracking receipt and use by species and type.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor to plan chipping for upcoming production.
• Ensure safe and productive operation of the Chipper.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with large projects as needed.
• Schedule changes, including weekend work, may be required.
• Daily equipment inspections and log.
• Preventative maintenance and log.
• Maintain inventory of knives and other consumables.
• Housekeeping of equipment/work area.
