Job summary

The W.C. Bradley Co. seeks a skilled operator to ensure safe operation of the Bandit chipper and support equipment in the log yard, meeting short fiber needs for the sawdust yard.

You will manage log and chip receipts, coordinate with production, and uphold safety standards in daily tasks. Responsibilities include planning chipping, maintaining equipment logs, and assisting with maintenance projects, with weekend shifts possible to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• 1 - 2 years of heavy equipment operation, such as a Front Loader.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Moderate skill set with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with inventory and receiving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive & inventory incoming logs & chips, accurately accounting for receipt & use by species & type.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to plan chipping of fibers needed for upcoming production.
• Ensure safe & productive activities of Chipper.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with large projects as needed.
• To accommodate business needs, schedule changes, including weekend work, may be required as needed.
• Utilization of FIFO.
