About Spanish Peaks Mountain Club

Excellent Service is at the heart of what we do here at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. Our team knows our associates are our best asset, and we treat our associates as we do our members: with kindness, humility, and respect.

Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are approximately 50 miles from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, Montana.

Position Summary

The Lodgekeeping Manager provides professional leadership and operational oversight of all housekeeping and cleanliness standards throughout the Spanish Peaks Clubhouse, Aspire, and Spanish Peaks facilities.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all member-facing spaces, dining areas, restrooms, locker rooms, fitness and wellness facilities, common areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently reflect the exceptional presentation and service standards of Spanish Peaks Mountain Club.

The Lodgekeeping Manager oversees departmental staffing, cleaning programs, quality assurance, budgeting, training, and operational performance while working closely with Clubhouse Operations, Food & Beverage, Outdoor Pursuits & Wellness, and Facilities leadership.

This is a management-level position focused on maintaining a pristine club environment, delivering an exceptional member experience, and ensuring both clubhouses and all SPMC facilities operate at the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the year.

Essential Functions

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage all housekeeping and lodgekeeping operations within the Spanish Peaks Clubhouse and Aspire, ensuring consistent cleanliness, organization, and luxury-level presentation.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain comprehensive cleaning standards, inspection programs, and quality assurance procedures for both facilities.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and presentation of all member-facing areas, including entrances, lobbies, lounges, dining spaces, restrooms, locker rooms, fitness facilities, wellness spaces, and other shared amenities. This may include cleaning during times of minimal staffing.
  • Develop and manage cleaning schedules that support daily Club operations, peak member usage, dining services, special events, and seasonal business demands.
  • Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Outdoor Pursuits & Wellness, and Clubhouse Operations to ensure seamless housekeeping support and minimal disruption to the member experience.
  • Establish detailed cleaning and inspection programs for high-traffic areas, ensuring frequent monitoring and timely response to cleanliness concerns.
  • Oversee deep cleaning, seasonal preparation, preventative cleaning programs, and special-event cleaning requirements across both clubhouses.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, labor forecasts, inventory controls, supply purchasing, and cost management initiatives.
  • Monitor operational performance through cleanliness inspections, productivity measures, labor utilization, service response times, and member feedback.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of Clubhouse Housekeeping associates.
  • Establish clear service expectations emphasizing professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and appropriate interactions with members and guests.
  • Partner with Facilities and Maintenance teams to identify building deficiencies, report maintenance concerns, and coordinate corrective action.
  • Oversee the proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment, chemicals, supplies, and housekeeping inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace health standards.
  • Participate in Club Operations leadership meetings and contribute to operational planning, service improvements, and initiatives that enhance the overall member experience.
  • Maintain consistent leadership visibility throughout both clubhouses, proactively identifying opportunities to improve cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Assisting with any other housekeeping related needs as needed throughout each season.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel, resort, private club, or luxury hospitality housekeeping operations.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing large facilities, housekeeping teams, departmental budgets, labor planning, and service quality programs.
  • Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and operational requirements for high-traffic hospitality environments.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing operational needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and housekeeping or facility management systems.
Preferred:
  • Experience in luxury private clubs, high-end resorts, or full-service hospitality properties.
  • Experience managing housekeeping operations across multiple buildings or large-scale facilities.
  • Experience supporting fitness, wellness, locker room, and dining facilities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Physical Requirements

While this role is primarily managerial and administrative in nature, the individual must be able to:

  • Move throughout the Clubhouse, Aspire, and associated operational areas for inspections and oversight.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring cleanliness and maintaining an active leadership presence.
  • Navigate stairs and multiple levels of the facilities as required.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, including supplies or materials used for training and demonstrations.

  • 401(k) eligibility with bi-weekly match
  • Discounted Employee Housing
  • Paid Time Off
  • Other voluntary insurance benefits available
  • Company-paid employee life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability
  • Discounts to over 1,000 retailers through ADP LifeMart and Expert Voice
