Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks a Locums Trauma/ACS Physician to join a developing surgical program in Paducah, KY. The 26-week per year schedule provides excellent work-life balance while maintaining full-time compensation.

The selected surgeon will deliver trauma/ACS consultation and operative management alongside two initial surgeons; block schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off is preferred. Travel and comprehensive support are included.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Trauma/ACS or related surgical specialty.
• Experience managing acute trauma and critical care patients.
• Comfortable providing independent surgical consultation and operative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical consultation and operative management for trauma/ACS patients.
• Collaborate with an initial team of surgeons to develop the program.
• Participate in a flexible block schedule and contribute to program growth.

Position Highlights

• AverageOperations: Approximately 1 per day
• APPSupport: None initially
• EDAnnual Volume: Approximately 39,680 visits
• ProjectedAnnual Consults: Approximately 492, withvolume expected to increase
• ProjectedAnnual Operations: Approximately359, with volume expected to increase

Practice Opportunity

This is an opportunity to helpestablish and grow a developing Trauma/ACS surgical program. The selectedphysician will provide surgical consultation and operative management fortrauma and acute care patients, working alongside an initial team of two surgeons.

The 26-week annual schedule provides substantialflexibility and allows physicians to enjoy extended periods away from thehospital while maintaining a full-time compensation structure.

Requirements:

• BoardCertified or Board Eligible in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery or a relatedsurgical specialty
• Experiencemanaging acute care and trauma surgical patients
• Comfortableproviding independent surgical consultation and operative care
• Abilityto work effectively in a developing surgical program
• Strongclinical and communication skills
• Willingnessto participate in a flexible block schedule
