Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is seeking a Board-Certified Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to provide hospital-based coverage in Paducah, Kentucky.

This role involves adult cardiac surgery, general thoracic surgery, and management of high-acuity patients. Responsibilities include responding to urgent cardiothoracic needs, performing CABG and valve procedures, conducting VATS, and ICU management.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Active Kentucky medical license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with adult cardiac surgery, general thoracic surgery, and high-acuity ICU management.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for cardiothoracic surgical and critical care needs.
• Adult cardiac surgery including CABG and valve procedures.
• General thoracic procedures including VATS, decortication, and lung biopsy.
• ICU management of high-acuity CTS patients and related critical care.
• Work on 24-hour shifts with weekend coverage.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physicianto provide hospital-based coverage in Paducah, Kentucky. This opportunityinvolves adult cardiac surgery, general thoracic surgery, and management ofhigh-acuity patients.

Assignment Details

• PracticeSetting: Hospital-based
• Shift Type: 24-hour shifts
• Schedule: 7:00 AM–7:00AM
• WeekendCoverage: Required
• Call: Required
• Average CTSurgical Cases: 1–2 per day
• Annual ERVolume: Approximately 30,000

Open Dates

Candidates must be available for one of the following coverage blocks:

• December24–December 28 – Preferred coverage dates; candidates with thisavailability will be prioritized
• December28–January 4

Responsibilities

The physician will provide coverage for a range of cardiothoracicsurgical and critical care needs, including:

Adult Cardiac Surgery

• Coronary arterybypass grafting (CABG)
• Arterialrevascularization using internal mammary and radial arteries
• Redo cardiacsurgery cases
• Heart valverepair and replacement procedures

General Thoracic Surgery

• Tubethoracostomy
• Tracheostomy
• Bronchoscopy
• VATSprocedures, including decortication and lung biopsy
• Pericardialwindow procedures

Critical Care & ICU Management

• Management ofhigh-risk and critically ill cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Impellainsertion, removal, and bailout procedures
• Medicalmanagement of critically ill patients in the ICU
