Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is seeking a Locums Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to cover Pendleton, Oregon in a steady, weekday schedule with manageable patient volume.

Schedule is Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, totaling 32 hours per week. Approximately 8 patients per day with no weekend coverage. Responsibilities include implementing plans, assisting with exercises, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Oregon PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, strengthening, balance, and functional activities.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises, mobility techniques, and home programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
