Job summary

CompHealth is a leading healthcare staffing firm offering locum tenens opportunities across the United States. This assignment focuses on ED and inpatient coverage with 7 am–7 am call, two weeks per month, and requires central lines, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colectomy, colonoscopy, EGD, hernia repair, and chest tube placement.

ATLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications are required. Robotically trained surgeons are preferred, with da Vinci on site.

Qualifications

• Must provide ED and inpatient coverage; call schedule 7 am–7 am, two weeks per month.
• Proficiency in central lines and common abdominal procedures (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colectomy).
• Experience with credentialing and privileging processes is facilitated by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Cover ED and inpatient services; no clinic duties.
• Collaborate with robot-assisted surgeons; da Vinci on site.
• Submit recent case logs from past 2 years and meet extensive procedural requirements.

• Inpatient average daily census of 15
• Robotically-trained surgeons preferred -- da Vinci robot on site
• Extensive procedural requirements -- case logs from past 2 years required

• Also required: colonoscopy, EGD, hernia repair, chest tube placement
• ATLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
