Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a locum general surgeon to cover Virginia assignments. The role includes ED and inpatient duties with no clinic, and an on-site da Vinci robot for qualifying procedures.

Applicants should have ATLS/ACLS/BLS certifications and provide recent case logs from the past two years. Extensive procedural requirements include central lines, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colectomy, colonoscopy, EGD, hernia repair, and chest tube placement.

• Call coverage — 7 am – 7 am, 2 weeks per month
• Covering ED and inpatient — no clinic
• Inpatient average daily census of 15
• Robotically-trained surgeons preferred — da Vinci robot on site
