Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a LocumsCardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitionerto provide primarily weekend coverage and vacation relief in Lexington,Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cardiothoracic surgery andproficient in first assisting with major cardiac and thoracic procedures.

This role includes responsibilities in the operating room,telemetry, and ICU, as well as inpatient rounding, procedures,and surgical duties.

Position Highlights

• 24-hourcoverage
• Primarilyweekend coverage and vacation relief
• Approximately 1–2 call daysper week
• Approximately 1 weekend ofcall per month
• Weekend callruns Friday at 7:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 AM
• OR, telemetry,and ICU responsibilities
• Inpatientrounding and procedures
• First assistingin:
  • CABG
  • AVR
  • MVR
  • Thoracotomy andlung resection cases

Requirements
