Curative is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for inpatient, on-call coverage in Pennsylvania to support the heart team in surgery. The assignment requires nights and weekends as core coverage, with potential weekday call and possible temporary privileges for qualified clinicians.

Inpatient role supports the adult cardiothoracic service; weekend rounding is expected and ongoing through credentialing until a permanent hire is in place.

Qualifications

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Pennsylvania license required, will not wait for license.
• Board certification required, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery CAQBLS and ACLS required, clean background required.

Responsibilities

• Pre op physical exams, coordination of care, rounding.
• Chest tube insertions, suture removal.
• Order tests and interpret results, diagnose and treat illnesses.
• Assist in surgery, write prescriptions.
