Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Locum Veterinarian to provide preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment for pets. The role requires a DVM/VMD and state license, with duties spanning client education, medical records, and surgical procedures.

Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to handle high patient volumes and adhere to safety and regulatory standards. This is a temporary position with potential weekend/evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of pets, clients and staff by following protocols and maintaining sterile areas.
• Gather complete medical history and maintain accurate records.
• Educate clients on preventive care, pet health needs and treatment options.
• Provide preventative care and diagnose/treat diseases in pets.
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment plans clearly to team and clients.
• Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including controlled substances inventory.
