Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a locum psychiatrist to work in an inpatient acute psychiatric unit in Missouri. You will manage patient care for 16-18 patients per shift on a Monday–Friday schedule with one weekend per month.

Responsibilities include handling anxiety, affective and personality disorders, involuntary commitments, restraint applications, pharmacotherapy and seclusion therapy. ECT experience is preferred; competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• Anxiety, affective and personality disorders are the key areas.
• Experience with involuntary commitments and restraint application is required.
• Pharmacotherapy and seclusion therapy experience is required.
• ECT experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in an inpatient acute psychiatric unit.
• Manage involuntary commitments and restraints as needed.
• Administer pharmacotherapy and seclusion therapies as appropriate.
• Work with a rotation that includes occasional weekend coverage.
