Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a psychiatry locum tenens physician for an assignment in Columbus, GA. Onsite rounding occurs 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with a 24-hour remote call on weekends.

Expect 12–16 patients per call shift in an inpatient unit and a long-term psychiatric facility. The role focuses on anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, and organic disorders, with preferred experience in involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, ECT, pharmacotherapy, and

Qualifications

• Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred.
• Experience with ECT and pharmacotherapy preferred.
• Group and family therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onsite rounding 8:30 am–6:00 pm Mon–Thu, 24-hour remote call on weekends.
• Treat 12–16 patients per call shift.
• Work in inpatient acute psychiatric unit and long-term psychiatric facility.
