Job summary
CompHealth is seeking a board-certified plastic surgeon to cover weekend blocks in Greenville, NC. You will handle inpatient and ED trauma reconstructions, including facial, upper and lower-extremity procedures, on a 7am Saturday to 7am Monday schedule with 1–2 weekends per month.
The assignment offers housing and travel coordination, comprehensive malpractice coverage, and a streamlined credentialing process.
Qualifications
- Board-certified plastic surgeon with trauma reconstruction experience.
- Eligible for NC medical licensure.
- Inpatient/ED care experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient plastic and reconstructive surgery care on weekends.
- Perform complex facial and extremity reconstructions.
- Coordinate with hospital team and credentialing process.

- 7 am - 7 am Friday through Monday, 1 - 2 weekends per month
- 10+ inpatient census -- primary and consults per weekend
- 2+ surgical cases per weekend
- Inpatient and emergency department patient care -- no outpatient clinic
- Complex facial trauma reconstruction -- adult and pediatric
- Complex upper extremity trauma reconstruction -- adult and pediatric
- Complex lower extremity soft tissue reconstruction -- adult and pediatric
- General plastic and reconstructive surgery including breast
- We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
- We arrange complimentary housing and travel and comprehensive malpractice coverage
- We simplify the credentialing and privileging process
