Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a plastic surgeon to provide weekend coverage in North Carolina. The assignment includes inpatient and ED duties with OR support from subspecialties, handling complex facial and limb trauma reconstructions for both adult and pediatric patients.

Expect 2–3 weekends per month (7am Fri–7am Mon), with prepaid travel and housing, paid malpractice insurance, and access to a Weatherby consultant 24/7. Competitive compensation and formal assignment details are provided.

Qualifications

• Board-certified plastic surgeon with trauma reconstruction experience.
• Active medical license and board certification in plastic surgery.
• Ability to manage inpatient and ED cases during weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cover 7am Friday to 7am Monday for 2–3 weekends per month.
• Handle 10+ inpatient primary patients and consults per weekend.
• Perform 2+ surgical cases per weekend.
• Provide inpatient and ED coverage with strong OR support from subspecialties.
• Reconstruct complex facial, upper and lower extremity trauma.
• Care for adult and pediatric plastic/reconstructive cases.
