Job summary

CompHealth supports physicians taking locum pathology assignments across multiple specialties, simplifying credentialing, housing and travel so you can focus on patient care. The role includes sign-out of specimens such as GI, GYN, breast, GU, liver and skin, with a typical 40–50 cases per day workload.

The package includes access to PathGroup digital sign out EMR, weekly pay, comprehensive malpractice coverage, and complimentary housing and travel arrangements.

Qualifications

• Pathology practice and sign-out experience may be required.
• Familiarity with EMR systems used for pathology sign-out.
• Ability to review a range of specimen types.

Responsibilities

• Biopsies — GI, GYN, breast, GU, liver, skin required.
• Cancer resections — breast, lung, colon, and more required.
• Peripheral blood smear review and non-gyn cytology required.

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; call required
• 40 - 50 cases per day
• Vacation coverage in 2026 & 2027
• Overflow backup provided by an outside pathology team
• EMR: PathGroup digital sign out system
• Biopsies -- GI, GYN, breast, GU, liver, skin required
• Cancer resections -- breast, lung, colon, and more required
• Peripheral blood smear review and non-gyn cytology required
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
• We arrange complimentary housing and travel and comprehensive malpractice coverage
• We simplify the credentialing and privileging process
• Access to online portal for assignment details and time entry
