Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a board-certified pathologist for a surgical pathology assignment in McAllen, TX. The role involves reviewing GI, GU, and breast specimens, with on-call optional, and hospital privileges required. Housing, travel, and comprehensive malpractice coverage are arranged.

A positive credentialing process is supported, with access to an online portal for case details and time entry. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm with two weeks per month; average 30 cases per day.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pathologist with surgical pathology fellowship.
• Experience with GI, GU, and breast specimens preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Review surgical pathology cases daily and provide accurate interpretations.
• Communicate findings to clinical teams and ensure quality diagnostics.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to support patient care.

Job description
