Job summary

General Healthcare Resources seeks a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner for Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery in Topeka, Kansas. The assignment offers 13 weeks with ongoing coverage, two weeks per month availability preferred, and a weekly pay range of $3,260–$3,860.

Start date ASAP with credentialing in about 1 day. Responsibilities include inpatient cardiovascular support, vein harvesting, and collaboration with the surgical team to maintain high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure is required.
• Minimum 1 year of cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery experience.
• Ability to work independently in a high-acuity surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice support for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.
• Assist with vein harvesting using the Maquet Vasoview system.
• Manage a patient load of approximately 2–10 encounters per shift.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
