Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist for a locum tenens assignment in Anchorage, AK. The role covers outpatient and inpatient consults, high-risk obstetric care, and on-site ultrasound interpretation.

The schedule is Mon–Fri 8a–5p with on-call weeknights and weekends; travel, lodging and malpractice insurance are covered. Active AK license, DEA, BLS and ACLS are required, with Level II ultrasound capabilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in obstetrics/gynecology or maternal-fetal medicine.
• Active AK medical license.
• DEA license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform and interpret obstetric ultrasounds on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient maternal-fetal medicine consultations.
• Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasounds (Level II, echocardiography, etc.).
• Manage high-risk pregnancies including diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, etc.
• Provide backup call coverage for obstetrics, with weeknights and weekend beeper calls.
• Collaborate with OB physicians and other specialists in managing complex maternal conditions.
