Job summary

CompHealth in Anchorage seeks an obstetrician to consult with OBs in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires high‑risk obstetrics experience, including PIH, HELLP, diabetes and cardiac disorders, with VBACs, vaginal breech, C-sections and instrument‑assisted deliveries.

Ongoing coverage is 1–2 weeks per month. Hospital privileges are required. We arrange complimentary housing and travel, provide malpractice coverage, and streamline credentialing through our online portal.

Qualifications

• High-risk obstetric care experience required.
• Hospital privileges required.
• Ability to manage OB emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with weeknight and weekend beeper call
• Consults with OBs -- covers both inpatient and outpatient settings
• 20-minute call response time required
• High-risk skills required -- PIH, HELLP, diabetes, cardiac disorders
• VBACs, vaginal breech, C-sections, and instrument-assisted delivery required
• Placenta previa, abruption, and multiple gestation management required
• Ongoing coverage -- 1 to 2 weeks per month
• Hospital privileges required

• Access to online portal for assignment details and time entry
