Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare in Florida is seeking a board-certified general surgeon for an assignment requiring inpatient/outpatient care, trauma work, and OB/GYN procedures. You will cover 8-hour shifts with beeper call, and may be on call from home up to seven days monthly, including after hours and weekends.

The role includes laparoscopic and open general surgery, C-sections, D&C, hysterectomy, and GI endoscopy.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive general surgery skills including laparoscopic and open techniques.
• OB/GYN surgery required with C-section, D&C and hysterectomy experience.
• GI endoscopy proficiency including upper/lower scopes and sigmoidoscopy.
• Inpatient and outpatient rounding; trauma surgery included.

Responsibilities

• Mon-Sun 8 am-4 pm shifts with beeper coverage.
• Call from home after hours and weekends up to 7 days per month.
• 4hr STAT / 24hr routine call response times.
• Assignment details logged in the online portal.
