Job summary

Pulse Healthcare in Dumfries is seeking a Band 7 Locum Echocardiographer to join our Clinical Physiology team on a flexible 9-month contract, with a Friday–Sunday schedule and an hourly rate of £50–£75. The role involves performing echocardiograms and related cardiac ultrasound procedures, interpreting findings, and contributing to multidisciplinary patient care.

Requirements include a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent), BSE/EACVI/ARDMS accreditation, proven echocardiography experience,

Qualifications

BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
Accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent accreditation (EACVI/ARDMS).
Proven experience as an Echocardiographer.
Experience in performing Echocardiograms.
Proven experience in performing echocardiographic procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

You will perform echocardiograms and other diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures.
You will analyse and interpret ultrasound data to provide accurate diagnoses.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of echocardiography techniques and advancements.
