Job summary

77 consultants is seeking an associate-level Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive anesthesia services in a contract-based, on-site setting in Salem, VA. You will work with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to create individualized anesthesia plans and monitor patients from pre-op through recovery.

The role requires MD/DO, board certification or active candidacy in Anesthesiology, a current license, ACLS/BLS, and experience in fast-paced clinical environments.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Anesthesiology or active candidacy
• Active medical license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction
• ACLS and BLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels throughout procedures
• Manage airway and provide life support measures as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Oversee postoperative recovery and provide acute pain management when required
• Respond promptly to emergencies including cardiac arrest and respiratory complications
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practice and technology
