Job summary
Wabtec's LOCOTROL Engineers design and develop solutions for diverse train control requirements worldwide. As a Systems Engineer, you will develop objectives for yourself and others, delivering embedded software solutions and system-level analyses for the LOCOTROL product portfolio.
You will decompose inputs to create backlogs, define system requirements, support software development and validation, and collaborate with program managers, product owners, and customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher in Electrical or Software Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with specification generation for Embedded Software solutions.
- Experience with requirements management tools and trace systems.
Responsibilities
- Decompose inputs to create a software/hardware backlog for teams.
- Define system requirements for new and existing SW products via specifications.
- Provide requirements to software and validation engineers for development and release.
- Collaborate with program leaders to develop a feasible schedule.
- Participate in safety analyses.
- Support system testing and validation activities.
- Provide technical support to program managers and customers on proposals.
