Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Farmington Hills, MI seeks an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to lead locomotive software and hardware design. You will own system-level responsibilities and drive multiple projects concurrently.

The role requires 7+ years in technical roles, strong C/C++ embedded skills, and experience with CAN Bus and Ethernet. Rail domain exposure is a plus; responsibilities include cost estimates and customer proposals.

• Respond to new sales inquiries and prepare customer technical proposals
• Undertake locomotives performance studies, and engineering cost estimates

Job description

• Overall system level knowledge of Locomotives, both Software and Hardware experience.
• 7 + years of overall experience on Technical roles
• Proficient on Embedded. C , C, C++
• Hand-on experience on Development
• Experience in complex embedded software systems
• Good programming skills in Python or Java™, C, or C#
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as an independent and systematic way of working
• Experience in Rail domain is plus.
• Exposure to Control systems
• Communication, C language
• Understanding of controllers
• CAN BUS and Ethernet Experience.
• Preferred past experience of System Engineer

• Incumbent will have overall design and technical responsibility for the project as a whole. Multiple projects will be worked simultaneously.
