Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Lexington, NC is seeking a Railcar Final Assembly Technician I to join a high-energy production team responsible for building world-class passenger rail vehicles. You will work across mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies with a focus on precision, safety, and reliability.

The role involves reading drawings, staging parts, and coordinating with teammates to deliver subassemblies and final coaches. Shift runs Monday–Thursday, 5:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic written and spoken English for safe, clear communication.
• Comfort reading blueprints/diagrams and navigating parts lists is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble major coach units such as roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, and panels.
• Apply adhesives and precisely fit and align floor panels, windows, and door assemblies.
• Install mechanical components: insulation, sidewall panels, seating, and luggage racks.
• Route and terminate electrical wiring harnesses to subassemblies and final connection points.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as production needs evolve.
