Job summary

Canadian Pacific Kansas City is seeking a Specialist, Field Technical Support in Saint Paul, MN. You will lead hands-on locomotive maintenance efforts, coach apprentices, and drive safety, reliability, and performance improvements across the network.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with T&E, and ensure adherence to maintenance standards while supporting new technologies and procedures. Shift work and travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years field experience in locomotive maintenance on GE and EMD fleets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion locomotive reliability through maintenance strategies and improvements.
• Coach, mentor, and train craft employees and apprentices on the job.
• Collaborate with T&E teams to resolve locomotive issues.
• Audit compliance with procedures and repair standards for quality.
• Provide hands-on technical support and training for new techs.
• Identify failure trends and suggest improvements across the network.
• Serve as SME and build workforce capability and continuous learning.
• Communicate maintenance standards and new processes to shop teams.
