Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is offering a Locomotive Field Service Intern position in the LaGrange, IL area. The role provides hands-on learning in locomotive maintenance, data analysis, and training development across multiple manufacturing sites and customer locations in the United States.

The internship emphasizes developing system training materials, working with experienced technicians, and traveling to facilities such as Muncie, IN and others to understand the manufacturing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Solid foundation of mechanical and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating work plans and system documents for locomotives.
• Analyze data from LTS database under supervision.
• Train with experienced technicians to understand locomotive operation.
• Work safely on customer sites following safety rules.
• Create training documents and videos of systems.
• Travel to Progress Rail manufacturing facilities to understand processes.
