Job summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Co LLC in Osceola, AR is seeking qualified locomotive engineers to join our operations team.

You will assist in safe daily operation of trains, operate equipment per company policies, handle track switches, couple cars, and contribute to yard operations. Candidates should be safety-minded with basic reading and math skills, able to communicate over radio, work with diverse teams, and be prepared for outside work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Must be safety-minded and have basic reading and math skills.
• Must develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel to achieve train-handling objectives.
• Must be able to give and receive instructions over radio.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

R.J. Corman is seeking Qualified, safety minded Locomotive Engineers to join our team in Osceola, AR.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in all phases of the safe daily operation of trains.

• Will move and align various parts of rail equipment to create or build trains.

Job Requirements: Must be safety-minded and have basic reading and math skills. Must have the ability to develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel in achieving train-handling objectives. Must be able to give and receive instructions over radio.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to perform physical strenuous work
• Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner
• Requires frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 80lbs
• Able to push and pull with up to 150lbs of force
• Performs duties in primarily outside environments, in and around moving locomotives, railcars, vehicles, and equipment. Frequent exposure to weather elements.
• Must be able to successfully pass background, drug test, and physical capacity test.
