OmniTRAX, Inc. seeks an Engineer/Conductor to oversee trains, freight, and crew operations. You will operate track switches, couple/uncouple cars, and place cars for loading and unloading while ensuring safety and compliance with FRA rules and company policies.?

You will communicate with dispatchers and yard authorities to move trains safely, inspect equipment, and maintain accurate reports in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Martinsburg, WV.

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2-3 years of Train Services experience
• Aptitude in the Transportation field and desire to learn
• Pass post-offer job and health related examinations including operating rules, vision and hearing tests
• Comply with railroad instructions regarding operation of the train
• Read and comply with published rules, procedures and manuals
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Write legibly to complete routine reports and other documents
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and associates

Responsabilidades

• Move trains safely in the yards and on roads
• Operate throttle and brake controls; interpret gauges
• Inspect equipment on cars; use radio to control movement
• Assist and instruct train crews to couple/uncouple cars and operate switches
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure rail safety
• Prepare daily reports and switch lists; review instructions from Trainmaster
• Read, interpret, and comply with rules and orders
• Coordinate railcar switch list execution
• Operate track switches and signals within yard or mainline
