Wabtec Corporation in West Wareham, MA is seeking a skilled Locomotive Electrician to build and rebuild locomotive assemblies. You will test, troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical and pneumatic systems on locomotives, with travel as needed.

The role requires five years' experience with heavy equipment, diesel propulsion knowledge, and the ability to read drawings. The base pay ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, with benefits including health, welfare, and retirement offerings.

Qualificações

• Five years equivalent experience building and/or maintaining heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of locomotive maintenance and repair; manufacturing experience a plus.
• Preferred experience with diesel engines, propulsion and pneumatics in large industry such as Rail, Agriculture, Mining, Marine, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Operate electrical test equipment.
• Design basic electrical circuits.
• Install electrical components.
• Run and terminate wiring.
• Cut, crimp, and install cabling.
• Pull wire harnessed through conduit.
• Drill and tap holes.
• Clean, sandblast and paint old parts.
• Disassemble, assemble locomotive parts and subassemblies.
• Know and understand FRA rules (training required).
• Interact with customers (minimal).
• Teamwork with customers and co-workers.
