Job summary

Wabtec in Grove City, PA is seeking Maintenance 1 personnel to join our heavy industrial diesel locomotive engine maintenance team. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork in a high-use manufacturing environment.

Starting hourly rate is $35.04, with benefits including health, welfare, and retirement options. Candidates must pass internal tests and be willing to operate cranes and industrial trucks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
Must have a high school diploma, GED or GED equivalent, or a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Must be able to pass all internal testing related to fabrication, machining, assembly, and maintenance.
Must be willing to operate overhead cranes and industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance duties related to manufacturing shop operations.
Repair and maintain hand tools.
Operate pollution control and hazardous waste equipment.
Conduct safety inspections.
Perform dry cycle operations on all machines.
Diagnose and perform basic plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs.
Must have working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Effectively interact and communicate with operators where work has been assigned.
Work independently with minimal direction and collaborate as a team member to implement solutions.
Responsible for the quality of work performed, from prescribed methods, quality and planning instructions in oral and/or written form.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
