Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to handle general facility, building and equipment maintenance at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. You will perform both scheduled and unscheduled tasks, use CMMS to document activity, and determine materials needed for repairs on doors, locks and related hardware.

The role requires 3–5 years in maintenance, an Associate's degree (preferred), and a Certificate of Locksmithing.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years in maintenance with locks and door hardware.
• License/Certification: Certificate of Locksmithing from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, maintains, repairs, and replaces locks and door hardware on various doors and equipment.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks and documents activities in the CMMS.
• Reads specifications and directs materials for task completion; mentors new staff.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for general facility, building and equipment maintenance and repair, both scheduled and unscheduled tasks, as assigned by the Call Center and/or Facilities and Maintenance management. In general, tasks that will be completed include Work Order completion, Preventative Maintenance completion, problem identification and resolution, determination of material and supplies required for problem resolution, documentation of activities, utilization of the Computer Maintenance Management System, and communicating with department's management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic II classification.
• Installs, tests, diagnoses, maintains, repairs and replaces locks, locking systems, doors, door hardware, and door closure and locking devices on all types of doors and equipment, etc.
• This position requires employee to pin lock tumblers, to key and uses hand and power tools associated with the locksmith's trade and maintains such in good working order.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as assigned and assists any higher departmental job classification as assigned.
• Documents work activity, both by written means and electronically by use of the Computer Maintenance Management System per departmental guidelines.
• Determines appropriate materials, supplies and equipment for completion of tasks, by either securing from stock or by requesting per departmental guidelines.
• Performs duties as required or assigned by Call Center and/or Facilities and Maintenance Management.
• Reads and interprets written specifications, work orders, written and oral instructions, models and graphic illustrations such as lay-out diagrams, blueprints, work sketches, etc. Mentors newly assigned employees.

Requirements:

Education: Associate's Degree preferred

Experience: 3-5 years in maintenance field. Documented training in and working knowledge of locks, latchets, doors, door hardware, etc.

License/Certification: Certificate of Locksmithing from accredited institution

Pay Range: $20.72 to $20.72
