Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We train on the job with 100% paid training and provide a vehicle for daily use.

You must enjoy outdoor work in all weather and be able to problem-solve quickly and accurately. Responsibilities include using a laptop to manage tickets, reading maps and blueprints, locating utilities with specialized equipment, and communicating clearly with team members and

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think safety first while performing locating tasks.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps and interpret blueprints to determine best locating method and sequence.
• Use provided locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
