Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We will train you on the job and equip you with the basic skills through our 100% paid training program.

Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work in all weather, value independence, and can problem-solve quickly and accurately. The role offers opportunities to advance while contributing to community safety and damage prevention.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs with equipment; up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
