Job summary

Stake Center Locating, Inc. is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground.

We will train you on the job and equip you with the basic skills through 100% paid training, preparing you to work outdoors in all weather and problem solve with speed and accuracy. What you’ll need is a preference to work outdoors, a desire to work independently, and the ability to think safely and act with precision.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with aid or 25 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps and interpret blueprints to determine locating method.
• Use locate equipment and technology to locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
