Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground outdoors. We will train you on the job with 100% paid training, and you will gain basic skills to succeed in this role while working in various weather conditions.

A strong preference for independent work and problem solving will help you thrive. We offer a paid training program, a company vehicle with a fuel card for daily commuting, PTO and paid holidays, safety

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First while performing duties.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
