Job summary

Viking Electric in Addison, IL is hiring a Warehouse Associate Backup Non-CDL Delivery Driver. You will perform local deliveries from our Addison warehouse, conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections, load materials, and ensure on-time, safe delivery to customers.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 85 pounds, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities within the Sonepar family.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Able to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 85 pounds.
• Pass and maintain DOT physical.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections at start and end of route.
• Transport and deliver products to customers with care.
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers.
• Fill orders and issue materials per requests.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks or dollies.
• Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Other warehouse duties as assigned.
