Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery Drivers to work in our distribution warehouse in the Quincy, IL location.

Compensation - Average Annual Salary $75,000-$95,000/year which includes:

• Hourly wage up to $28.10 per hour
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day
• $1,500 Sign on bonus paid out after 60 days after passing review period
• $840 Initiation fees to union required after 60 days after passing review period
• Incentive pay available but not guaranteed; average $150-$350 per pay period
• Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Start times typically between 4:00am-5:00am; work until work is completed, usually 8-10 hours per day
• No layovers, home every day
• LDV = Light Duty Vacation - Floater driver to cover vacations, etc. Full-time hours guaranteed.
• Some light warehouse work as needed when not on routes.
• Make 10-12 stops per day; 100-200 mile radius of Quincy, IL
• Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs
  
  

Responsibilities

• Route delivery, driver unload, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart
• Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to restaurants, schools, and end users
• Drive CDL A truck to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
• Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
• Use of keys, alarm codes, tablets, etc. for overnight deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
  
  

Requirements

• New CDL graduates encourage to apply! No CDL experience necessary (subject to road test)
• Local, multiple-stop case delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack highly preferred
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
• Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
